Hill country (Days 5–7)
Drive through tea plantations to Nuwara Eliya, then continue to Ella. Consider the famous Kandy to Ella train for one scenic leg — book reserved seats early. See our train journey guide.
Wildlife (Day 8)
Yala National Park Block I is Sri Lanka’s best-known leopard habitat. Pre-dawn jeep safaris last about 3–4 hours. Note: the park may close for a short period around September for maintenance — confirm dates before booking.
South coast finale (Days 9–10)
End at Galle Fort or Mirissa for beaches, dining, and optional whale watching (December–April). Allow 2.5–3 hours to reach CMB on departure day.
